2024 FESTIVAL PROGRAM
IS SERVED
Did you hear that?
That’s the sound of the full Festival program dropping.
Food and art will collide at this year’s Melbourne Fringe Festival, where we’ll be serving every flavour of event to satisfy even the fussiest of artistic appetites.
No, seriously, we’ve got an enormous public BBQ and everything.
Tuck into the full Festival program now. You can find creative risk-taking and fierce ambition from independent makers in our boundary-pushing program,Pulse. In our Radical Access program, there are artists reimagining accessible artmaking and changing cultural conversations with artistic activism. The Deadly Fringe program returns to celebrate cutting-edge performances of necessity and innovation by First Nations creators. While in our experimental kids program, XS, it’s BIG art for tiny art lovers.
Plus – there’s so much more from the 2,600 strong community of bold, bright and brilliant Fringe artists coming together across Melbourne for our mammoth three-week celebration of art and voices on the fringe.
We hope you’re hungry. Eat Your Art Out this Fringe.

COOKED by Long Prawn and friends
1–20 October | Fed Square
Long Prawn and friends are bringing the spirit of the democracy sausage to Fed Square where the hot plate meets the stage in a Festival-long pop-up dedicated to the art of grilling – and where grilling meets art.
Culinary mavericks Long Prawn and their collaborators will be at the pass day and night slinging snacks – both edible and artistic – in the purpose built dining and performance space, designed by Mikhail Savin Roderick Projects with a working barbecue designed by artist Mike Hewson. With different events activating the space throughout the Festival, COOKED is sure to feed you, mind body and soul.

VOLUNTEER WITH FRINGE
Love what we do? We’d love to have you! We’re once again on the hunt for some amazing volunteers to help put a little finesse on our Festival, whether it’s getting punters’ bums on the right seat, or directing them towards the nearest QR code (you’ve gotta press and hold, Graham!). We’ve got positions including: All-Rounders, Front of House Attendants, Fringe Greeters, and Access Champions. Whatever special flair you bring, we want it as part of the Fringe Festival team.
