This is the second sequel to Iconic written by A.J. Gordon and Peter J. Aldin. The first was Quaestor by Peter J. Aldin and this second one is written by Aldin’s co-author. Iconic showed me that Aldin and Gordon are best when they write together. I’m not saying when they write individually they’re not good, but together they seem to up the ante. In the first book they each wrote their own characters, bringing them together at key points. But in Quaestor and Far Horizons they take their characters away from each other for their own little adventures. It was lovely to read this book and catch up with Sabrya. If you look at the cover you’ll see a lady on the left with blue hair, that’s Sabrya. She’s kickass awesome and I truly want her as a friend.
This is one of those books I lost sleep for. I have absolutely zero notes written about it because I was far too engrossed to put it down for the few seconds it takes to write a couple of words. That happened with Quaestor as well. In this book our team turns bounty hunter. It wasn’t on purpose, but they noticed some ill-mannered thugs, dealt with them and turned them in. All of a sudden they’re bounty hunters. And they’re butting heads against the best in the business.
I firmly recommend you read this book, and the previous two in the series. I truly hope there are more books on the horizon. If so I’ll be making sure to put some money aside just for them. This series is a must have on my bookshelf.
You would be getting more words out of me, but I’ve still got shingles and I’m happy to have written a few words. Anything I’ve written in the past few weeks has had many typos and has made little sense. Shingles, 0/10, I still do not recommend
