
Fire Rescue Victoria responded to a reported house fire at 127 Warren Road, Parkdale at 0130hrs this morning. FRV crews arrived on scene within 5 minutes. Firefighting crews were unable to enter the single storey weatherboard home as fire had already ingulfed the structure.
Squatters were reportedly living at the address however a search of the home confirmed the property was unoccupied. An under-control status was given 30 minutes after FRV crews arrived on scene, the home has been severely damaged with partial structural collapse of the roof.
The cause of the fire been declared suspicious and when we arrived today, VicPol were on scene arranging some temporary fencing to secure the perimeter.
