HACHETTE AUSTRALIA TO PUBLISH ILLUSTRATED EDITION OF THE VOICE INSIDE BY JOHN FARNHAM WITH POPPY STOCKELL
Hachette Australia is thrilled to announce a luxurious full-colour collector’s edition of John Farnham’s award-winning and bestselling memoir, The Voice Inside—co-authored with Poppy Stockell.
Originally published in 2024, The Voice Inside soared to No. 1 on the Christmas biography charts and was crowned the prestigious Book of the Year at the 2024 Australian Book Industry Awards. Farnham’s candid memoir traces his journey from childhood in London and Melbourne to global stardom—detailing the blockbuster success of Whispering Jack, a decades-long touring career, 21 ARIA Awards, being honoured as Australian of the Year, and his devastating 2022 mouth cancer diagnosis and recovery.
This lavish illustrated edition enriches the original with more than 200 images and photographs, some of which have never been seen before, drawn from the Farnham family archive and from treasured memorabilia preserved by the late Glenn Wheatley—John’s longtime manager and friend—and his wife, Gaynor. It also includes a new chapter in which
Farnham looks back on the entire journey—writing the memoir, recording the audiobook, the fan response to the book, and sharing recent updates from his family.
