Just a little shout out to Thursday Jazz people…

Dear Jazz Lovers,
With the long weekends and the holidays, we realise people have lots to do and choose from.
During the Covid years, JMQ Jazz Ensemble approached 17 different venues after their prior venue changed hands – before finally partnering with the Golden Gate Hotel to revitalise JMQ Jazz Thursdays. The band's challenge now is to make the evening work for everyone, every week! Sometimes the artists may not be known to you, but regulars will tell you that all are outstanding in a band of A-Listers. By Wednesday evening each week, our Jazz pre-bookings need to reach a certain quota for the gig to proceed – and it can be stressful to contemplate cancelling fine musicians after the drought of 2020-2021. This week is a bit light on, so far. They venue needs to have an idea of numbers! So thank you to those who support our Thursdays – and if you are coming along tomorrow or on future dates, would you kindly secure your booking by Wednesday evenings? Fingers Crossed.
Thank you so much!
John & Paula
