I have been with the Toorak Times since April 2012. I worked as Senior Editor of the Toorak Times for 10 years before retiring in 2012. I continue now as an occasional feature writer. I've been in the Australian music scene as a musician since 1964, and have worked in radio and TV and newspapers (when they were paper ), serious experience in audio editing, and a lot of video editing experience.
I retired from paid radio work in 2022 and took up a position in the Education Centre at Puffing Billy

Sadly, no sooner had fresh interviews begun, than OMICRON reared its head and we were again put into a position where face-to-face interviews had to be suspended. So, we again call upon out Vault of Treasured Memories to bring to you a past program that we believe is worthy of repeating.
This is part 1 of a 2-part program featuring stories of and by Charles Tingwell.
Pilot Officer Tingwell : WWII – [CLICK to enlarge] Charles “Bud” Tingwell was one of Australia’s most endearing and loved performers, whether on radio, stage, screen or television.
Sadly Bud passed on in May of 2009. In mid 2008 Bud was the keynote speaker at a function in the Victorian town of Healesville, which was celebrating the contribution older people make to their community.
LTOV was there to capture some of his candid and forthright stories about his life and his career. Listen and learn.
