Listen To Older Voices presents the stories, views and opinions of our older citizens. It is predominantly in a life & times format, with interviewees reflecting upon their lives from earliest memories. An underlying principle of the program is to promote the concept of positive ageing, reinforcing the principle that older people have & continue to make a valuable contribution to both their local & wider community.

This is the second and final part of the story of Don Carless. Born in 1936, Don was heavily involved in the establishment of Melbourne best know Folk Club – Frank Traynor’s Jazz and Folk Club (fondly known as Traynor’s), in the late 1950’s.

In this final program we learn more about Traynor’s and the machinations that went on behind the scene, which is mixed in with more stories of Don’s experiences working in the Insurance industry.

We also learn about his involvement in one of the embryonic communes in Victoria, located in Erica, Victoria. But the stories just keep coming and the entertainment and information hardly pauses for a breath.
