About the artists…

MATT KIRSCH A stalwart of Australian Music, highly respected master jazz guitarist & singer, MATT KIRSCH shall return to the bandstand for the first time post-Covid, to feature with JMQ Jazz Ensemble next Thursday, APRIL 28, 2022 at the welcoming Golden Gate Hotel South Melbourne at 7pm. Matt has featured and performed with many fine Australian & International artists across his career including Georgie Fame, Vince Jones, Ross Wilson, David Campbell, Wilbur Wilde, Marcia Hines, Moovin' & Groovin' Orchestra and many others. It is always a thrill to present him with the stellar JMQ Jazz Ensemble so prepare for a wonderful evening.

AARON MICHAEL  While living in Sydney from 1999 onwards, Tenor Saxophonist AARON MICHAEL became one of the busiest and most in-demand Saxophone players on the Australian Jazz scene. He has performed with an array of international and local artists that includes Tower of Power, Michael Bolton, Tony Hadley, Go West, ABC, The Brand New Heavies, James Morrison, Dan Barnett, David Campbell, Phil Emmanuel, Katie Noonan, Wendy Mathews, Sydney All-Star Big Band and many more. After joining the RAAF Band, he impressed and soon became an Officer, and was promoted Musical Director of all Air Force Bands. We love having his talent at JMQ Thursday Jazz.

This talented duo shall be joined by a great JMQ line up of Michael Harding, Ben Robertson, Hugh Harvey & John Montesante.
