In the glass an older purple colour, however with a quick swirl the translucent strawberry colour of Mornington Pinot Noir appears.

On the nose aromas of cherries with faint hints of kitchen spice in the background. Although I did find it fresh enough I thought it a little straightforward and not overly exciting.

Put the cork back in / screwed the cap back on, (just don’t sound right)

Over night the wine has opened up to brighter red cherry with the faint aroma of oak. A good lick of fruit sweetness, mid palate. The tannins have softened considerably, however they finish with a satisfying savoury length.
