SWAP YOUR DESK FOR A DAY IN NATURE: CORPORATE VOLUNTEERING IN NSW NATIONAL PARKS AVAILABLE

The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) offers a Corporate Volunteering program for organisations and their employees, combining meaningful conservation work, guided learning and fun team-building activities.

The program is currently available at 3 spectacular national park locations in the Sydney region including:

    • Sydney Harbour National Park (Middle Head)
    • Kamay Botany Bay National Park (Congwong Beach, La Perouse)
    • Lane Cove National Park

New national park locations are set to be added into the mix in 2026.

Organisational teams that take part in the program will experience a fun and rewarding day outdoors in a beautiful national park. Attendees will work alongside expert NPWS guides and rangers with practical hands-on tasks to help preserve the biodiversity of the local landscapes.

This conservation work may include habitat restoration, bush regeneration, planting native species, clearing marine debris, beach clean-ups and more.

Attendees will also learn about each area’s unique ecology, culture and history from the passionate and knowledgeable guides, as well as take part in tailored team-building activities to boost employee wellbeing and build connections.

Since the program’s trial period commenced, 75 organisations have taken part with overwhelmingly positive feedback received from attendees. Testimonials include mention of making a meaningful contribution to the local environment, building stronger relationships with colleagues in person, learning about conservation and biodiversity and ‘giving back’ to the community.

The NPWS Corporate Volunteering program provides an easy and accessible option for organisations to put their corporate social responsibility or environmental, social and governance commitments into action, with measurable environmental outcomes for NSW national parks. Organisations can choose from full or half-day programs, and custom experiences are available on request
