“No matter your age or current love circumstance, you’ll find a story here that will resonate with you.” says former host of Perfect Match Greg Evans, as quoted in Perfectly Matched. “Rachel Jayne’s gentle ability to draw so much honesty and intimate details from her subjects make these stories an absolutely delightful read.”
On the eve of Valentine’s Day, in the heart of Parliament House, Rachel Jayne Cassidy’s Perfectly Matched book will be launched. Hosted by one of Australia’s leading cardiologists, A/Prof. Kushwin Rajamani, the launch features the voices of matchmaking experts and TV favourites from around the globe, including world-renowned French matchmaker Guerda de Haan. A visionary leader in luxury matchmaking, she has shared her expertise widely across the media landscape and is visiting Australia for the very first time to speak at the launch.
“Matchmaking has become a booming global industry,” Rachel Jayne says. “But is it a reflection of real-life chemistry?”
Alongside Guerda will be beloved Australian TV personality and former host of Perfect Match Greg Evans, making his first public appearance since his quadruple bypass in December. Evans, who features in the book, offers behind-the-scenes insights into the antics that unfold on reality TV and on-camera matchmaking.
Also speaking is professional Indian matchmaker Heena Kajaria, co-founder of Soulmate Matrimonial, who will appear live on stage.
After a decade-long journey of in-depth research with matchmakers and couples around the globe sharing their stories with her, Rachel Jayne says, “I’m grateful for the remarkably exhilarating adventure I’ve been on, and the wisdom I can now share with people of all ages and cultures. Singles looking for love, and couples hoping to experience everlasting love.”
Celebrate an Author Talk on Valentine’s Day at Mornington Library, featuring Guerda de Haan and face reader Marie Chandler alongside author Rachel Jayne, who will personally sign your copy of Perfectly Matched. Singles, couples, or anyone seeking an entertaining day out will enjoy this event, which is free to attend for the general public. Bookings are essential through the Mornington Library website.
As Valentine’s Day grows nearer, Perfectly Matched serves as a reminder that love – and the chance for it – is always in the air for anyone willing to look.
