Weaving her jaw-dropping vocals with 60’s girl group “call and response” backing vocals, ‘Tell Me’ is an ode to unrequited love, told from the perspective of the smitten as they painstakingly yearn for their beloved to make the first move.
The heart-on-her-sleeve lyrics have been complimented by the accompanying videoclip for the single that portrays a spot-lit WILSN singing directly to camera, as she joyfully dances through the Melbourne night, in her own world, raw and unyielding in her vulnerability.
This glistening new instalment from WILSN follows the success of her previous single ‘You Know Better’, which was welcomed to play across BBC Radio 2, triple j, Double J, ABC local, PBS, RRR and more. The track was met by comparable enthusiasm from Spotify and Apple Music, with song adds across NMF ANZ, Indie Arrivals, Retro Soul (US), The New Retro (US), EQUAL AU & NZ and New In Pop (US), New In Rock (US), NMD respectively.
With a sold-out Melbourne headline show under her belt, as well as supports for the likes of Hiatus Kaiyote, and a notable St Kilda Fest performance, it’s clear that ‘Tell Me’ is set to mark the beginning of another exciting chapter in WILSN’s undeniable ascent.
