2023 Billilla Artists Studio Program
This program supports artists from diverse practices and across career stages.
Located at the historical Billilla Mansion in Brighton, the program provides an opportunity for artists to connect with the local community through public programs, as well as develop their practice without the financial pressure of paying studio rent.
We have 7 free studio spaces available for 12 months, to offer to artists from Bayside and across Victoria.
We’re seeking high quality applications from people in the arts sector, including artists, writers, composers, filmmakers, sculptors, performers, and designers.
Applications close Monday 3 October 2022.

Bayside Gallery unveils latest exhibitions
Bayside Gallery was filled with excited energy last Saturday, as over 200 patrons filed through the doors to attend the opening of our latest exhibitions Past lives and Eyes that see: the collection of Norman Rosenblatt.
Bayside: Prehistoric Past Lives
Underneath the waves of Bayside, the fossils of giant predators that once swam on our coastline are slowly being revealed.
From the largest shark that ever existed to the ‘Demon-ducks of Doom’, these fossils are being discovered by palaeontologist Ben Francischelli and a team of citizen scientists.
In this presentation, Ben will be revealing the ‘deadliest ocean that ever existed’ and bring along a number of fossils that are changing the way in which we understand prehistoric Bayside.
