A surreal comedy about a tap and a stand-up comedian from the creator of Calypso Nights and Different Party.
After taking out the Best Comedy Award at the 2018 Adelaide Fringe with his long-standing partner Trygve Wakenshaw and their show Different Party, multi-award winning writer, actor and comedian Barnie Duncan is debuting his new solo show Tap Head at the 2019 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Part stand-up comedy, part surreal theatre, Tap Head explores the life of a lonely tap who works in a public toilet in Fairfield Park, a tap who also frequents open mic nights to test out his jokes
Spliced together with actual stand-up from non-tap Barnie Juancan, and featuring a captivating sound-designed world, this show explores anthropomorphism and amateur comedy nights with gleeful and beautiful surrealism.
Directed by Katy Maudlin, with sound design from Daniel Nixon.
