Open Artist Studio with BAAP finalist Sarah crowEST
Take a step into the working environment of Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize finalist and Billilla artist studio resident, Sarah crowEST.
Sarah invites you to explore her Billilla studio located on the first floor of the Homestead, once used as the ‘governance quarters’. This is a unique opportunity to preview works in development and hear more from Sarah about her creative processes. Artworks will also be on display in the ‘servants’ kitchen’ on the ground level.
Sarah’s paintings and textiles are held in various public collections including the National Gallery of Victoria, Justin Art House Museum Collection, Artbank, and the Art Gallery of South Australia.

Adrian Spurr: Relics Artist Talk and Performance at Billilla
Join us in the gardens at Historic Billilla for an afternoon of music and insight.
We will explore Adrian Spurr’s latest exhibition Relics, accompanied by the incredible musical talents of Niels Bijl.
Follow Adrian and Niels through the garden and hear the background on each of the stone sculptures, then be treated to a performance of saxophone masterpieces ranging from Gregorian type chants to baroque masterpieces, and brand new music inspired by Adrian Spurr’s sculptures.

Polyglot Theatre’s Bees
Bzzt! Have you heard the buzz?
Enter a wonderful world of community, communication, wonder and imagination with Polyglot’s joyful interactive work, Bees, at Lakeside Green, Elsternwick Park.
Join us on 21 May 2022 for a fun-filled day out, that is sure to capture your attention and put a smile on faces of all ages.
There are 4 x 30 minute sessions, held at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 2.30pm, plus activities between sessions, including Bee Crafty with Bayside Library Service!
Explore a buzzing, humming hive of activity, as three human-sized Bees busy themselves in the creation of a community alongside children who transform into bees as they play.
Don’t miss this un-bee-lievable performance!
Bees was developed through Polyglot’s Generator program, with support from the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria, and the Sidney Myer Fund.
