Rather bright red in colour for a Shiraz with a purple tinge around the rim. Full perfume of red ripe berries on the nose with hints of kitchen spice lurking in the background.
After 30 minutes decanting the perfume of sweet raspberries makes an appearance, both on the nose and the palate finishing rich and well-balanced with soft oak tannins.
This wine punches well above the price point. At $25.00, this vintage is as good as it gets.
