In the glass the wine is a dark purple, almost black plumb colour with a purple rim around the edge of the glass.
On the nose: It has a cold rich plumb classic Bordeaux, fruit perfume with dark cherries just lurking in the background with a touch of oak all wrapped up in the cool dark fruit.
The palate is medium to full weight with wonderful ripe tannins and a solid body of cool dark plumb with layers of sweet dark chewy cherries unwinding with each mouthful.
As the wine opened over two hours the sweet dark cherries turned to a exotic spice leather thing going on in the background.
This is an outstanding wine although sill a little tight and could use a few more years to show what it really has.
At the end of the day this wine is just a Cab/Merlot. But not as we know it in Australia.
There is no rating, other than WOW for the pure enjoyment that this wine has brought me.
