Enphase Energy has lifted the Australian solar quality standards with an industry first, by extending the limited warranty for its IQ8
Microinverter product range to 25 years. The new warranty terms automatically apply for all IQ8 Microinverters activated on or after 1 October 2024.
Enphase Energy Australia General Manager Patrick Matweew said the new 25-year warranty will elevate industry standards, boost customer confidence, and deliver unrivalled peace of mind for Enphase solar system owners and installers.
“Australian households are world champions in adopting rooftop solar, but sustainable energy is about quantity and quality.
“Our improved warranty terms are designed to ensure that Australian solar systems not only provide much-needed electricity bill relief but also deliver long-term peace of mind,” he said.
Mr Matweew said solar systems are meant to be long-lifetime household assets. Solar panels already have a 25-year performance warranty. However, most solar inverters sold in the Australian market are only backed by a 10-year warranty.
“We identified the performance between solar panel and inverter warranties as a quality assurance issue that can compromise ROI for homeowners. Enphase is closing that gap to give households that chose Enphase unprecedented solar investment security.”
