We were thrilled to have re-launched the gallery late last year with two stunning exhibitions by leading midcareer artists Julia deVille and Natalie Ryan. We want to build upon our return to our St Kilda home and realise some significant projects for Linden. In 2019, we continue to present high calibre shows such as the Linden Art Prize; contemporary Indigenous work by Lisa Waup in Elements alongside new work from Perth based artists Erin Coates and Anna Nazzari in Dark Water.
All our successes have been possible through your support, you have been with us every step of the way. We simply wouldn’t be here without you, inspiring us with your generosity.
This year we are delighted to have received Creative Partnerships Australia’s Plus1 program support and for each $1 we raise it will be matched up to $25,000. This is a rare opportunity for Linden, and we are delighted to say we can double your gift and extend the reach of your generosity if you donate by 31 May 2019.
Our overall target is $25,000 and we already have $8,000 secured from individual donors and philanthropic foundations and are on our way to reach our target. Your assistance will make all the difference.
A big gift will move things along quickly, but lots of smaller gifts help us grow our family of supporters so that we can continue to present outstanding exhibitions, artist led activities for visitors and school groups:
> $5,000 will pay for a mid-career artist to create new work for our exhibition program
> $2,000 will design a stunning exhibition backdrop so the new work on display can shine
> $1,000 will purchase LED TVs and data projectors so that artists can show video work
> $500 will provide the art materials primary aged school children need for our free drop in
On Holidays at Linden program.
> $250 will enable school children to participate in an artist led workshop to inspire their creativity for free
> $100 will pay for the design of a free art activity for children during the school holidays.
And this year…. don’t forget with support from Creative Partnerships Australia’s Plus1 matched funding program, we can double your contribution. For every $1 we receive it will be matched up to $25,000. You will need to get in quick as we need to receive this funding by 31 May 2019.
