This week the John Montesante Quintet celebrates an amazing 13 Years of continuous Jazz Thursdays in Melbourne, after

creating a weekly showcase, that features Australia's finest Jazz talents on a rotating basis, with a repertoire of bebop and standards that

differs on every occasion.

This Jazz formula was considered innovative in 2004, although subsequently it has gained many imitators, and has almost become de rigueur.

On August 17, JMQ is delighted to present mega-talented and versatile ALINTA CHIDZEY, hot off the stage after 'Jesus Christ Superstar'

Alinta has had a career as a professional entertainer on stage and screen for decades, and also leads her own Jazz Ensemble.

Her spouse, highly regarded international saxophonist, REMCO KEIZJER performs with her regularly and shall feature with her

on Thursday with the JMQ line up:  Michael Harding, Carlo Alberto Canevali, John Montesante and James Clark.
