In part 1 we learned that Chris was born in 1944 in South Australia but moved, while still as a young boy, across to Fremantle in WA.
At this time Fremantle was largely untouched by development and the young Chris appreciated the natural splendour of the coast and the city of Fremantle. It was during this period he developed and displayed a passion for both boating and ecology.
In this, the second part of his story Fred continues his war-times stories before moving onto stories of his civilian life. In fact it is here that we learn how Chris met his wife to be, Hillary. However, his story and his adventures have only just begun as he shares stories of living in Thailand and the Philippines trying to sell farm equipment whilst dodging insurgent rebels.
It is toward the end of part-2 of his story where his “green credentials” begin to shine and he expresses his concerns over what is happening both locally and globally, ecology wise.
