Event organisers the Outback Music Festival Group have today announced a stellar rollcall of top Aussie acts who will rock Australia’s biggest Outback music event – the Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash from August 21-23, 2025.

Representing different generations and genres of music, the line-up includes multi-award winning and upcoming ARIA Hall of Fame Inductee Missy Higgins, and the legendary Hoodoo Gurus, The Cat Empire, Birds of Tokyo, The Angels, Kasey Chambers, Kate Ceberano and Leo Sayer.

From classic Oz rock through to alternative rock, pop and country music the 2025 line-up will also see Bash favourites Chocolate Starfish return for a record fourth Mundi Mundi Bash event along with Brad Cox, Rose Tattoo, Ross Wilson, Shannon Noll, Pierce Brothers, Thirsty Merc, Dragon, Mi-Sex, Sarah McLeod, Ziggy – 50 Years of David Bowie starring Iota, Jeff Duff, Steve Balbi and Bryden Stace, 19Twenty, Chantoozies, Caitlyn Shadbolt, Mick Thomas and local bands Leroy Johnson and the Waterbag Bag Band and Tha Boiz on the Outback stage, set on the red earth of the iconic Mundi Mundi Plains.

Tickets to the 2025 Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash will go on-sale on October 24th at www.mundimundibash.com.au

“Some of the biggest voices in Australian music will belt out classic Aussie anthems and hit songs on the Mundi Mundi Plains, it will be another epic and unique experience for our festival goers.  Last year we staged Australia’s biggest ever Outback music event – and we’re hoping we’ll do it all over again in 2025,” said Greg Donovan, festival owner, producer and Managing Director of the Outback Music Festival Group.

“I had such a special time in 2022 when I last played the Mundi Mundi Bash, it’s really unlike anywhere else playing in Broken Hill. It’s a great vibe, with people travelling from all over the country to attend the desert concert every year. So, my band and I are very excited to return in 2025 and bring my new album (as well as plenty of old favourites) to the Mundi Mundi Bash,” said Missy Higgins.

“We got our first taste of Mundi Mundi in 2023 and, honestly, our minds were blown. Everything about it was epic: the people, the scenery, the feeling – the whole thing was amazing. We can’t wait to get back there in 2025. Let’s do it!,” said Dave Faulkner, Hoodoo Gurus.

The Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash is an all-ages, dog-friendly 3-day camping event offering up uniquely Australian destination adventure for music loving families, grey nomads, camping and caravanning enthusiasts and intrepid travellers alike.

In addition to the music lineup, the Mundi Mundi Bash features a jam-packed program of unique outback entertainment and activities – from world record attempts for the ‘Nutbush’ dance, Big Blue Day and ‘Mad Max dress up’, a charity Mundi Undi fun run, through to comedy and outdoor film screenings, scenic helicopter flights, morning yoga, camel rides, dunny door painting, animal petting zoo and more.

The Mundi Mundi Plains setting for the event has a sealed road leading right up to the event site on Belmont Station, with the last remaining kilometres of unsealed roadway set to be bitumened by the NSW Government before the event is staged in August 2025.

“It may seem like a small thing, but we’re very excited about the last section of road being sealed.  It is only a few kilometres, but it will make access even easier than it already was and will allow vehicles to still enter the site if we happen to get some unseasonable rain.  We’ve never had to deal with rain impacting access but it’s nice to know this work will further weatherproof the site given it’s one of the few variables we can’t control,” added Greg Donovan.

The Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash is a BYO alcohol event – and ticket holders are permitted to bring their own food.  A large range of food vendors selling both hot and cold food and non-alcoholic beverages will also be onsite.
