WAM is excited to announce Sounds of the Kimberley, a recording project set to uncover and capture the rich tapestry of song and songwriters in the Kimberley region.

This project forms the second of nine new regional recording projects, intent on recording up to 90 regional artists, spanning WA’s nine regions across the next three years.

The Sounds of the Kimberley recording project will provide 10 Kimberley artists with the incredible opportunity to record an original song with some of WA’s best producers including at a pop-up studio in an iconic Kimberley location this September.

The final compilation will be released in 2020 on CD and digitally for national and international radio, industry and public consumption.

WAM is on the lookout for Kimberley songwriters, acts/bands and studio sound engineers of any level, age, and genre to register their interest by July 122019.
