After a huge weekend with events in Geraldton and the Goldfields, our teams are back in Perth!
Our Sounds of the Mid West artists took to the stage at the Queens Park Theatre in Geraldton on Friday 23 July to officially launch the album and what a night it was! A huge thank you goes out to ABC Regional Drive who presented a special outside broadcast live from the venue with interviews from artists and guests. The music doesn’t stop here though! Make sure to give the album a listen on Spotify or Soundcloud and support the incredible talent in our regional areas. Regional Officer, Nigel Bird, is now back on the road to kick off recording for Demos from Ngaanyatjarra Lands and Esperance.
Meanwhile in Kalgoorlie we teamed up with Artgold inc. to deliver the first ever regional Girls Rock! WA program – Girls Rock! Goldfields! What an inspirational (and talented!) batch of campers, volunteers and community – we’re still humming the original tunes. A big thank you to the passionate team at Artgold inc., the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, the Goldfields Arts Centre and all our young rockstars. You rock! We can’t wait to head back and do it all again.
