Originally from South Africa, Stuart Daulman is back for his 13th Melbourne International Comedy Festival. This will be Stu’s 6th solo effort looking to build on tremendous numbers from last year’s acclaimed show, Death of a Daulman.
In 2018, Stu and his team received the Moosehead Award for his sold-out season of Death of a Daulman (directed by comedy stalwart Bob Franklin).
An accomplished performer and writer, Stu has appeared on Hamish and Andy’s True Story, Aunty Donna’s “FuccBoi” music video and in 2018 was cast in two pilots for Network Ten’s Pilot Week – Troy Kinne’s Kinne Tonight and Skit Happens (where he was also a writer).
Stu has collaborated as both a writer and performer with some of Australia’s most acclaimed new comedians – with the highly successful and award-winning Fancy Boy live show (with Greg Larsen, Anne Edmonds, Henry Stone, John Campbell and Jonathan Schuster), and later with the show’s TV program, which aired as part of ABC’s Fresh Blood program and on US online comedy network, Seeso and also as a key member of absurd live sketch troupe Wizard Sandwiches (with Andrew Belsten, Dylan Cole, Jarryd Clifford and Jake Ludowyke).
Alongside his TV and writing work, Stu regularly performs at comedy nights and festivals around Australia, where he has honed his skills in recent years and is fast becoming one of Australia’s most versatile and engaging comedians.
