Annie Baker is a masterful writer, and The Antipodes is her most complex and surprising work to date. Baker’s nuanced characters and pithy dialogue are as true as ever, and yet The Antipodes transcends the micro.
The script demands every inch of you, and working with our terrific ensemble and creative team on this production has been a joyful adventure into the world of possibility. When you witness their beautiful work, you’ll see what I mean. I continue to marvel at the lightness of touch with which Baker addresses her immense ideas and themes.
Our final preview tonight is fully booked, and following the sell-out success of our last show, Fury, I encourage you to come along early.

LOVESONG cast announced
We are very excited to announce our cast for Lovesong by Abi Morgan.
This delicate and poetic production will feature the talents of guest actors
Jillian Murray, Paul English, Madeleine Jevic, and Dylan Watson.
We are also happy to welcome back Denny Lawrence (Love, Love, Love and Belleville) to our big, little theatre.

Our acclaimed production of desert, 6:29pm is heading to Wuzhen Theatre Festival later this year! That’s right, Red Stitch is going international! We are very excited to announce that the Victorian Government is supporting this tour through Creative Victoria’s International Engagement program – thank you to Creative Victoria for helping us to tour this tremendously important work.
