Exhibition opening: Friday 10 May, from 5pm to 9pm
FAD Gallery
14 Corrs Lane, Melbourne CBD
Jim Keays was a pioneer and a legend of the Australian music scene as the front man, singer-songwriter, guitarist and harmonica player with the iconic ‘70s rock band Masters Apprentices.
What many Australians do not know is that Keays was also a highly accomplished visual artist who created beautiful and evocative water colour paintings. Almost five years on from Jim’s passing in June 2014, FAD Gallery in Melbourne’s Chinatown is proud and honoured to be hosting a public exhibition and sale of some of the rocker’s best artworks.
The exhibition, which runs for four weeks from Friday 10 May, has been made possible with the assistance of Jim’s wife Karin. She is available to be interviewed about her husband’s life and works in the lead-up to this unique show.
