Eligible Victorian homeowners can access up to $2,400 off the installation of smart solar technology and efficient water heating solutions. This includes, for the first time, Solahart PowerStore® – Australia’s first solar-smart electric water heater complete with a Solahart Home Energy Management System (HEMS).
Available from 9 October 2024, the savings follow the recent inclusion of Solahart’s Smart Home Energy Project to Solar Victoria’s Residential Electrification Grants Program. The move comes amid energy price rises, a cost-of-living crisis, and mounting pressure on the state’s grid.
Solahart’s Smart Home Energy Project is designed to provide solar panel and hot water solutions to help Victorian homeowners reduce energy costs, and maximise rooftop solar PV self-consumption, while improving grid resilience.
Through Solar Victoria’s Residential Electrification Grants Program, Victorian homeowners can save $1,000 when installing a Solahart PowerStore, and other energy-efficient Solahart hot water systems, such as heat pumps and solar thermal. They can also enjoy $1,400 off a new solar PV system. Eligibility criteria^ apply.
Solar Victoria operates one of the largest sustainability and renewable energy programs in the country. Its Residential Electrification Grants Program is accelerating the uptake of solar and electrification in Victorian homes through Approved Providers, such as Solahart.

Smarter savings through the nation’s first solar-smart electric water heater
Solahart PowerStore is similar to a home battery in that it stores energy, but it does so in the form of hot water. Its innovative technology is designed to save households money by converting excess rooftop solar energy into hot water, instead of exporting it back to the grid.
HEMS consists of an Energy Management Unit and the Solahart atHome web App that allows users to monitor the performance of their home’s energy production and usage. The HEMS intelligently orchestrates household appliances, such as a rooftop solar system, water heater, home battery and other connected appliances to reduce energy costs and give users greater control of their home.
A recent review of Solahart HEMS customers with a Solahart PowerStore revealed an average power bill saving of $643.67* over the last twelve months.
