The Yarragon Studio Festival is set to mesmerise audiences once again this winter with its highly anticipated ‘Winter Feast‘, taking place on Sunday, August 4th. Promising an unforgettable blend of Australian artists, delicious cuisine, and fine wines from the Gippsland region, this event invites guests to indulge in a day of cultural richness and culinary delight.

A highlight of this year’s festival is the chamber music sensation, Reeds Bending, a quintet united by their mastery of reed instruments featuring musicians Niels Bijl (saxophone), Matthew A person in a red dressDescription automatically generatedKneale (bassoon), Rachel Bullen (oboe), Jorja Withall (clarinet) and Mitchell Berick (bass clarinet). Their repertoire will span the works of JS Bach and Claude Debussy to contemporary composers like Marc Mellits, promising a journey through diverse musical landscapes.
Joining them on stage will be the acclaimed mezzo soprano Dimity Shepherd and versatile artist Richard Piper, known for his contributions across acting, composing, and voice artistry. The Yarragon Studio Festival aims to celebrate artistic excellence in a setting that embraces both creativity and community spirit.
Festival director, Niels Bijl says “It’s an absolute delight to build high quality chamber music concerts around the wealth of food and wine in Gippsland. a true community event at its finest!”

Adding to the sensory experience is the culinary prowess of Tanya Bertino and Anton Eisenmenger from the Long Paddock in Lindenow, East Gippsland. With a background in Europe’s renowned restaurants, they promise a gastronomic journey that complements the festival’s artistic offerings.

Yarragon Studio Festival includes access to three concerts, afternoon tea, and supper with wine – a comprehensive package offering a full day of enriching experiences.
