We’re asking all Australians touched by blood cancer to Light the Night in a new and beautiful way.
The lighting of lanterns symbolises the hope we share for a future free of blood cancer and the support of a community that understands the darkness a blood cancer brings to our lives.
Host a twilight gathering in your own special way on Saturday, 10 October with your loved ones to Light the Night.
How you choose to Light the Night is limited only by your imagination.
A family dinner party, a sunset barbeque with close friends… a twilight picnic in the backyard?
It’s up to you.
As darkness falls — you’ll be part of the official lantern lighting ceremony that will take place in thousands of homes across Australia.
Each lantern holds a special meaning.
White for your own blood cancer journey.
Gold for a loved one lost to blood cancer.
Blue to show your support of others.
When you fundraise ahead of the night — you will receive your official lantern to light.
Lanterns are limited — so we encourage you to sign up now and start fundraising early.
I hope that you will join us in shining a light on blood cancer.
Yours in hope
Imogene Grant

P.S. It’s been a tough year for the Leukaemia Foundation with COVID-19 having a devastating impact on the donations we need to continue our important work for families facing blood cancer. This year’s Light the Night and the funds raised by the blood cancer community are extremely critical.
