beechworth’s annual harvest celebration is back, don’t miss high country hop this weekend

The much-loved High Country Hop is returning this weekend on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 March and for the first time, the festival will take place at Beechworth’s picturesque Historic Precinct. Hop to the annual celebration for the whole weekend or stimulate your senses for just the day, but don’t miss out on the freshest beer in the country.

The new main stage will be brimming with the festival’s biggest line-up yet, an eclectic mix of local musicians including Mighty Duke & the Lords, Karate Boogaloo, Leah Senior, Ausecuma Beats, DRMNGNOW, The Burnt Sausages, James Ellis & the Jealous Guys (pictured), College of Knowledge DJs, Uptown Brown and Liv Cartledge.

The musical line-up will be perfectly paired with six of Victoria’s High Country brewers, including: Bridge Road Brewers, Billson’s Brewery, Bright Brewery, Mitta Mitta Brewing, Crank handle Brewery and King River Brewing.

Truly a beer-lovers heaven, there will be opportunities to taste unique ales, exclusive brews, and various talk and taste events over the weekend. The line-up will also feature two of the country’s most exciting new breweries, Range Brewing from Brisbane, and East Gippsland’s Sailor’s Grave.

Founded in 2015, and curated by the craft beer legends Bridge Road Brewers, the festival has cemented itself as a high point of the Victorian High Country calendar. Full of entertainment, the High Country Hop is a melting pot of like-minded producers, beer-lovers and music fans celebrating that most delicious of ingredients: hops.

For those wanting to stay a hop, skip and a jump away from the festival, camping tickets have been added for unpowered sites at Lake Sambell Caravan Park in Beechworth. There are just 50 camping spots left so don’t wait, head here for more information. Buses will also be running from Albury/Wodonga, Wangaratta and Bright, so punters can safely and easily get to-and-from this epic event.

Tickets are still available and limited numbers will be available on the door on the day.
