This Thursday Tokyo underground wunderkind guitarist MASAMI KAWAGUCHI & legendary Australian underground artist KIM SALMON launch their debut duo LP ‘Blossoming’ with a one-off performance at The Old Bar
This LP is a recording of this esteemed duo on the occasion of their very first time playing together as a duo in August last year during Masami’s brief Australian Tour then. The LP is pressed in very limited numbers with the first (‘Green Leaf’ coloured vinyl) pressing already sold out. Copies of the ‘Purple Petal’ coloured vinyl second pressing will be available at Thursday’s show and are selling now online here
We are very fortunate to have gotten Kim and Masami for this one show as both artists are in the midst of Australian tours with their respective bands (SMOKED SALMON and NEW ROCK SYNDICATE) and they each head off interstate shortly after Thursday’s LP launch at The Old Bar.
For Australia Masami Kawaguchi’s NEW ROCK SYNDICATE features the rhythm section of ROCKET SCIENCE’s Dave Gray and VELVET PARADE’s Don Drum. They play just one Melbourne headline show this Sunday arvo/doors 4pm at Shotkickers.
