I've been in the Australian music scene as a musician since 1964, and have worked in radio and TV and newspapers (when they were paper ), serious experience in audio editing, and a lot of video editing experience. This is Part 1 of a 3-part Golden Moment repeat program, taken from our Vault of Treasured memories, where we re-present a program we believe is worth repeating while interviews have been suspended during the current COVID lockdown.

This program features the Life and Times story of Chris Lamacroft.

Born in Unleigh South Australia in 1944, Chris reflects on his earliest memories, which features some stories of his grandmother while moving forward to his formative years.

We learn that Chris’ father was present at the peace talks held in Panmunjom in North Korea, that bought about the cessation of hostilities in what was called the Korean war.

With stories involving his grandmother and his father, it comes as no surprise that Chris also shares stories about his mother giving us a good idea of what his family life was like.

Chris tells us that his family then moved from SA to Fremantle in West Australia. This move turned out to be a major event in Chris’ life as it triggered a passion for sailing and a passion for ecology.

These two interests along with an equal passion for cars provides you, the listener, with many great stories as well as some terrific entertainment.
