From September 25-29, this iconic location will play host to the 11th Victorian Cuboree, a hallmark event in the Scouting calendar, offering participants an experience in learning, adventure, and personal growth.

“These kids are about to embark on the best school holidays of their lives,” said Chief Commissioner Rod Byrnes. “Far from the typical school holidays, they’ll be diving into a realm of independence, sharing moments with their friends, and participating in activities that challenge, entertain, and inspire.”

The exciting array of activities the Cubs can anticipate are

  • Vertical Adventure | Scaling new heights through climbing and rappelling.
  • Outback Adventure | Delving into the unique challenges of the Australian landscape.
Prepare to get muddy and explore the Australian outback.
  • Jungle Adventure | Embracing nature, wildlife, and survival skills.
Can you survive the jungle adventure? Use your stems skills to navigate your adventure.
  • Neon Adventure | A journey into the radiant world of neon.
See rockets fly higher than ever before to reach the bright neon colour in the sky.
  • Citizen Scientist | Real-world scientific explorations

As if these daytime adventures weren’t enough, evenings promise a thrill of their own. A secret, renowned Melbourne entertainer is slated to dazzle the youth with a night-time stage spectacle.

“The Cuboree transcends the ordinary camp experience,” said Camp Chief Director John Kerr. “It’s about creating memories, fostering independence, and unveiling a world of limitless adventure to our young Cub Scouts.”

10-year-old Cub Scout Lachlan from Narre Warren South said with excitement, “I can’t wait for Cuboree! The Jungle Adventure sounds awesome and I wanna know who the surprise singer or dancer is!”

Sebastian, 9-year-old Cub Scout from 1st Victorian Sea Scouts said, “I am looking forward to the drama and performing arts Adventure. I also hope to build on some of my outdoor skills in camping and climbing. Cuboree will be the best thing ever! “

With meticulous preparations underway, Cuboree is poised to be not just an event, but a transformative experience for every young Cub Scout attending.
