Thanks For Coming Out And  Film Night Announcement

Over 45 Volunteers came on this beautiful day to clean a beach

Thanks to all

It was great to see so many people come out on Sat.  It was a great crowd as you can see in the picture above.
A cruise boat docked about the same time with a lot of Americans on it.  As the walked past they asked what we were doing or stopped and read the A Frame board we had up. One couple even said can you come back to the States and do this over there.

82 bottles and cans were picked up.

4 syringes and about 20 bags of rubbish

Thanks to all at the end who helped with the sorting and clean up.

Now for something special!   Recall last year we had that great film evening showing documentaries about Port Phillip Bay.  AS good as they were we are now going to show a truly amazing film about the Worlds oceans, its wildlife and the impact of plastic.

f you have not had enough, and you lie awake at night thinking about litter, then you might like our newLoveOurStreet 3207.    Here we pick up some litter from the streets back from the beach with the intent of it not getting to the beach.  Every month we’ll target hot spots around the neighbourhood.  Then have a cuppa at one of cool neighbourhood cafes.    Oct21st.   9:30 am.  More info sent out later in the month.
