YourLand Developments, a leader in sustainable residential communities, is collaborating with RACV Solar, a provider of cleaner energy solutions. Together, they will install high quality 5KW solar systems on every home in Society 1056, a 93-hectare site, fostering a greener and more sustainable neighbourhood.

“This partnership with RACV Solar is another example of our commitment to creating environmentally conscious communities. Society 1056 is not just a residential development; it’s a bold statement in sustainable living,” says Dean Gold, Chief Operating Officer of YourLand Developments.

YourLand Developments is offering rebates up to $5,750 on solar systems to every buyer, further enhancing the affordability of sustainable living. Rebates are applied automatically once installation has been completed. YourLand and RACV will also help buyers explore additional opportunities for rebates through Solar Victoria, subject to eligibility and individual rebate terms and conditions.

The environmental impact of the initiative is significant. Annually, a 5KW solar system can reduce a household’s carbon emissions by 6.063 tonnes. For the 1,300 homes in the neighbourhood, the combined reductions are equivalent to planting 130,000 trees, recycling 341,000 bags of rubbish, or reducing 32 million kilometres of driving by an average petrol-powered car. Cost benefits to households are just as significant with the systems expected to save residents up to $1,375 per home annually.

RACV General Manager Energy, Greg Eyde, emphasised the benefits to households, stating: “Generating solar power directly from the sun allows residents to reduce their dependence on the grid and is cost-effective. We are proud to be part of this initiative and its contribution to a cleaner energy future.”

YourLand Developments encourages residents to take advantage of the solar rebates and embrace a greener lifestyle. Gold mentioned, “As an added benefit to residents, the solar rebate delivers immediate savings to all households.”
