Jaimes from Urangan in Queensland’s Hervey Bay, has been named the lucky winner of Solahart’s largest-ever giveaway – receiving up to $70,000 towards a brand-new Model 3 Electric Vehicle (EV).

Australia’s original name in solar, Solahart, has celebrated its 70th year of helping Aussie households save on their energy bills by hosting this large-scale promotion. Solahart’s giveaway was designed to reward Australians who are making the smart choice by switching to solar.

Since July 2023, almost 1,000 online entries were received across Australia, which granted any eligible Solahart customer who purchased a Solahart Solar Power System, Solar Water Heater, Heat Pump, or Home Battery a chance to win this grand prize.

Having only just moved into the area, Jaimes sought the help of Solahart Fraser Coast to install a Solahart Solar Power System at his new home to bring down household energy bills and reduce emissions.

On receiving the exciting news, Jaimes commented: “My wife and I are blown away that we have won this huge prize! We’ve previously had solar panels, so we understand the benefits of switching to solar. Having retired last year, we recently downsized and installing solar panels on our new home was a main priority, so we wasted no time in contacting the highly recommended team at Solahart Fraser Coast.

“Winning a new electric vehicle and a bonus EV charger from Solahart is beyond belief. We have been interested in purchasing an EV down the track as we knew that eventually recharging our vehicle at home through solar would help to reduce costs for us as retirees, and now this has become a reality. We cannot thank Solahart enough,” said Jaimes.

With 70 years of solar innovation, Solahart has continuously invested in technology to provide Australians with a smart energy future.

Stephen Cranch, General Manager at Solahart Industries, said: “We are thrilled to provide Jaimes and his wife Tina this major prize, further helping them with their electrification journey.

“This year marks a significant milestone for Solahart, and we’d like to thank everyone who entered our promotion and joined us in celebrating 70 years in solar. For seven decades, we have been helping Aussie households find ways to bring down their energy costs and future[1]proof their homes through harnessing energy free from the sun – and we look forward to what’s to come in the next 70.”

70 Years in Solar

Since 1953, Solahart has been Australia’s solar pioneer, having installed more than one million solar water heaters worldwide and over one million solar power panels in Australia alone.

A remarkable achievement on the company’s 70th anniversary, this landmark installation milestone ranks Solahart’s solar fleet as large as some coal generators in Australia.

“We are the only solar company in Australia that can say we have been in the solar industry for 70 years and reached these amazing milestones. We would not be here today without the expertise and passion of our dealers, and of course, our incredible customers such as Jaimes,” said Mr Cranch. “We are determined to maintain our reputation as an industry leader and are committed to helping our nation shift towards a renewable-energy future while continuing to help Aussie households save thousands on energy bills through clean electrification, powered by solar,” Mr Cranch concluded.
