1.15pm-1.45pm: Narrelle M Harris in on the Crime Couch with Carmel Shute

Narrelle M Harris’s 40+ works include vampire novels, erotic spy adventures, crime fiction, het and queer romance, fantasies set in Victorian-era Melbourne, and Holmes/Watson mysteries. Some of her works have been nominated for awards. She also edits anthologies including The Only One in the World: A Sherlock Holmes Anthology (2021) and Clamour and Mischief (due 2022) www.narrellemharris.com.

Carmel Shute was co-founder of Sisters in Crime Australia in 1991 and has been a national co-convenor ever since. In 2016 she was awarded a Ned Kelly Life Time Achievement Award.


2.00pm-2.30pm: RWR McDonald is on the Crime Couch with Karina Kilmore

R.W.R. (Rob) McDonald is an award-winning author, a kiwi living in Melbourne with his two daughters and one HarryCat. His debut novel, The Nancys, won Best First Novel in 2020 Ngaio Marsh Awards, as well as being a finalist in the Best Novel category. It was shortlisted for Best First Novel in 2020 Ned Kelly Awards. His second novel, Nancy Business, was published by Allen & Unwin in June 2021. https://rwrmcdonald.com/

Karina Kilmore spent more than 30 years writing and analysing financial crimes as a business journalist and was also book editor at the Herald Sun. Her debut novel, Where the Truth Lies, was a finalist of the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards (unpublished manuscript), the 2020 Ned Kelly Awards (Best Debut Crime Fiction), two Davitt Awards, and the 2021 Ngaio Marsh Awards (Best First Novel). 2.45pm-3.15pm: Robert Gott is on the Crime Couch with Dr Angela Savage

Dr Robert Gott is the author of 97 books, both fiction and non-fiction. He has written eight crime novels, set in Australia in the 1940s, two of which have been shortlisted for the Ned Kelly Award for Best Crime Fiction. He is also the creator of the long-running newspaper cartoon The Adventures of Naked Man. His latest novel is The Orchard Murders. Angela Savage is an award-winning writer and CEO of Public Libraries Victoria. She holds a PhD in Creative Writing, giving her the Bond villain-like name of Doctor Savage. Her latest novel is Mother of Pearl. https://angelasavage.wordpress.com/

Vikki and Angela

Vikki Petraitis is an award-winning author, best known for her true crime books including The Phillip Island and The Frankston Murders. Vikki’s two podcast series with Casefile Presents have been downloaded over three million times.
