To celebrate 15 years of the Bowness Photography Prize MGA has partnered with Smith & Singer to showcase the 15 previous recipients during PHOTO 2021 International Festival of Photography. 

Established in 2006 the annual Bowness Photography Prize reveals artists’ continued fascination with exploring and pushing the boundaries of the photographic medium, embracing its capacity to explore a diversity of voices and perspectives.  

The exhibition showcases work by the following artists: 

Kathy Mackey, Ray Cook, Nat Thomas & Concertina Inserra, Paul Knight, Lee Grant, Jacky Redgate, Jesse Marlow, Pat Brassington, Petrina Hicks, Joseph McGlennon, Valerie Sparks, Polixeni Papapetrou, Hoda Afshar, Katrin Koenning and Christian Thompson

Not standing still: new approaches
in documentary photography

We are pleased to confirm that the launch of our upcoming exhibition Not standing still: new approaches in documentary photography will proceed as planned, with the exhibition open to the public from Saturday 20 February.

Presented as part of PHOTO 2021 International Photography Festival, this exhibition brings together artists from 13 different countries to explore the ever changing edges of documentary photography.
