The festivities are here, and you want to make something good for all your expected and unexpected guests. However, a lot happens during the holiday season. When you are done with shopping, decorating, and other festival-welcoming errands, you have next to zero energy to pick up your apron, and cook something elaborate. However, you want to cook something good for the guests. So, we are here to help you with some tasty and quick beef recipes that will truly spread the joy this Christmas. They are as follows.

1) Beef stroganoff with herby pasta:

First, you would need to freeze the beef for about 45 minutes. Then you need to cut it in very fine pieces, and season it in a large non-stick frying pan with half a portion of melted butter and the other half portion of cooking oil. Then, you would need to increase the heat and sear the beef in batches till it becomes brown on both the sides. Once a tan hue is achieved, you should put the beef pieces aside and repeat the same with mushroom and keep it aside along with beef. After this is done, you would need to boil the pasta and add the rest of the oil and butter to the pan.

You need to soften the shallots, which will take a few minutes. Then stir it and let it boil for over 5 minutes, till it becomes thick. You should then add the mustard, creme fraiche, puree, and seasoning. Let it bubble for one more minute, and then, you should return the mushrooms and beef to the pan. After 15 minutes, you should drain the pasta and add some parsley to it. You would then be able to serve the creamy stroganoff with seasoning and more parsley sprinkled (as per your garnishing choice and taste).

2) Crispy chilli beef:

Cut the steak into small strips and put it in a bowl. Then add spice, cornflour, pepper, and salt, and mix them evenly. Heat the oil in a deep saucepan till it reaches 375 degrees and it turns golden brown. You can use a tissue to soak the extra oil. Then, you can fry some spring onions, chillies, and garlic mixture for a minute. There are many more variations of this dish, and a lot depends on the type of steak you get. Yes, depending upon the cut, the whole dish could taste better or plain! Don’t risk your efforts by choosing just any cut for your steak. For more information, you can click here.

3) Chilli beef with caramelised onion gravy:

You can crush the peppercorns, thyme, mustard powder, and celery seeds along with some salt, pestle, and mortar. Then, add some oil to the mix and rub it evenly all over the beef. Then you would need to heat the oven to a steady 190/170 for 12 minutes per 450gms of beef for medium-rare beef, and 15 minutes for medium-well. For the preparation of the gravy, you can pour it in a jug and after the juices have separated, you could start with adding 2 tablespoons of butter to it and cook the pasta for a minute. Then, stir it in 750ml of hot water, and the dish is best served warm with beef which is carved into thin slices.

4) Beef, cheese and brown bean quesadillas:

You would need a small bowl, wherein you can add salsa, lime juice, and cilantro. In another bowl, you would go by adding beans, corn, and one-half cup of the salsa mixture. Keep the rest aside, and then place cheese, beef, and bean mixture on each half of the tortilla and fold it. Cook it in only one tablespoon of oil for ½ a minute, till the cheese melts. Then cut it into wedges and serve it with the rest of the salsa mixture.

5) Beef schnitzel:

You need to stretch a long piece of cling film over the chopping board and lay the steak on it’s top. Then another cling film atop the steak, and then you would be needed to chop it till it’s very thin. You could mix paprika, pepper, salt, and flour on a  plate.

Put out another plate that would contain breadcrumbs, and then one more plate with an egg. Then you need to dip the steaks in the order of flour first, then the egg, and then the breadcrumbs. Then, for the grand finale, you would need to fry them with 1 tablespoon of oil for a minute on both sides, till they become crispy and golden. They can be served with coleslaw, salad, and lemon wedges for taste and decorative purposes.
