Winter Season 2022 begins with a sunny outlook this week (inside the theatre, anyway)! We want to thank all the incredible artists who shared their work with us over the Autumn season, and invite you now to snuggle up and get cosy with some of the steaming hot shows we have coming your way over the next couple of chillier months!
And we’re starting in style with Spescha Barakat’s The Butterfly Nebula. From the team that brought you Bipolar Karaoke comes this very personal story, featuring Spescha and Zac Anderson with live music and projections. Opens tonight! – this week only.
Opening on Thursday is the classic Jane Eyre in a new adaptation by Christine Davey that is sure to warm your hearts! Runs for two weeks and if you prefer a lunchtime show, check the schedule for matinees.
Happy NAIDOC week! Over the course of this year our First Nations Producer, Glenn Shea has been taking small groups of staff, volunteers and Committee of Management members in Indigenous Learning Workshops, and they continue this week. We feel very privileged to have access to this little window into Glenn’s story and expertise.
With love,
La Mama xx
