With just over two weeks left to go until Christmas, we’re asking for your help in supporting our service users so they can put food on the table this festive season.

The past couple of years have been incredibly tough for everyone in our industry, so a simple donation of $50 or more will allow us to provide a gift voucher to someone who really needs it this Christmas.

Here’s Paul Gildea, manager, educator and member of Icehouse, to explain how Support Act helped him:

“I soldiered through 2020 and 2021 like us all, lucky enough to still be lecturing to music students, even as shows for my band, Icehouse, teetered and fell over.

“I felt it was important to walk the talk and I decided to do the Mental Health First Aid program offered through Support Act. I also completed the Press Play program to help me get in touch with the creative me that I think has been challenged during this time.

“I honour the work Support Act does to provide these opportunities and know that without Support Act, so many would be struggling even harder through this period.”

If you can, please donate now so that we can spread the love to all of our service users before the holidays.

You can make a donation here or contact us here if you would like information about how to donate via EFT.

Thank you

Anne Jacobs
National Welfare Coordinator

The Support Act Wellbeing Helpline will operate as normal throughout the Christmas / New Year period and can be accessed by calling 1800 959 500.

Our social workers will be taking a well-earned break over the Christmas period (23 December – 4 January), so crisis relief applications received during this period will be assessed in January 2022.
