Welcome to Listen To Older Voices, a program produced by Rob Greaves and podcast through the Toorak Times and Tagg” style=”3d” color=”orange”][/vc_cta][/vc_column][/vc_row]This is the second part of the 3-part program on the Life and Times of Lily Miller.

Having been born in 1925 to a German farther and a Russian mother, life before and during WWII was hard for Lily. Her father left the family home in Lithuania when the war commenced to return to Germany. Not long after a young Lily decided she would join him and took off after him on her own. But she failed to get the response from him that she desired and he packed her off, again on her own, back home to her mother.

In part 2 we pick up the story with her mother also giving her a less than warm welcome on her arrival back home.

We learn how eventually Lily attends a technical College and takes up metallurgy. It was there that she met the first love of her life, Felix. He was a music student and she as a lover of the piano, found herself attracted toward him.

That attraction turns to marriage and we learn how she and husband Felix overcome much adversity to get to Australia.
