Calling all photography enthusiasts to enter LOOK!
The Museum of Australian Photography (MAPh) is excited to announce the LOOK! MAPh Members’ photography prize. This event offers a unique opportunity for talented photographers to showcase their works at MAPh Atrium Gallery and have a chance to win fantastic prizes.
We cordially invite all aspiring and seasoned photographers who are MAPh members to participate in this exhibition by submitting up to three of their most captivating photographic works. MAPh’s Senior Curator and Curator will be reviewing all entries and selecting works to be displayed in our Atrium Gallery from 30 August to 27 November 2023.
The judges, Angela Connor (Senior Curator) and Stella Loftus-Hills (Curator) will award prizes in various categories, including portraiture, still-life, architecture, documentary, experimental, fashion, landscape, monochrome, nature, photojournalism and street photography. Winners from each category will be awarded a generous $50 Camera House voucher, graciously donated by Croydon Camera House.
To be eligible for entry, photographers are required to be MAPh Members. Don’t worry if you are not a member yet, joining is a simple process! Entries and important dates
Entries submission: Now open and will close at 11.59pm on 13 August 2023. Submissions should be made through our convenient online form: click here. We encourage all applicants to submit their entries as early as possible to ensure ample time for consideration.
Artwork delivery: For those whose works are selected, please take note of the delivery dates for your artwork. Selected works should be delivered to MAPh between 16 and 27 August 2023 to be included in the exhibition.
Exhibition: We will showcase the chosen works at MAPh Atrium Gallery from 30 August to 27 November 2023. This exhibition will officially open on 30 August 2023, during which the category winners will be announced and the prizes will be awarded.
